Afghan Shahi Saffron is a global exporter and grower of organic and premium quality saffron, with its headquarter located in Kabul, Afghanistan. Running under Bahar Ghazna Agribusiness, the company has been established to focus on presenting Afghan agricultural products to internatoinal markets. Shahi Saffron aims to connect farmers to potential international markets bridging consumers to first hand saffron growers. For the first time in Afghanistan, we have brought together unique processing method and standardized packaging in order to add the value that the Afghan saffron deserves. Besides producing the finest quality saffron, we believe in women empowerment through economic engagement and helping the victims of war through our social corporate responsibility. Female presence in our workforce is pretty visible. During harvest season, as many as 250 women benefit from the saffron production. Not only this, we have worker safety standards in place with fair wages. Note: saffron farming is used as an alternative to poppy cultivation in Afghanistan. It helps farmers choose legal means of income compared to that used to support extremism and radicalization.
