Origin– Native To Asia, Mainly Cultivated In India, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Africa, And Guatemala.

Part Of Plant Used– Fresh And Partially Dries Leaves (Grass).

Method Of Extraction– Steam Distillation

Aroma And Colour– Lemongrass Oil Is A Yellow, Amber Or Reddish-Brown Colored Liquid With A Fresh, Grassy-Citrus Odor And An Earthy Undertone.

Therapeutic Indication– Analgesic, Antidepressant, Antimicrobial, Antioxidant, Antipyretic, Antiseptic, Astringent, Bactericidal, Carminative, Deodorant, Febrifuge, Fungicidal, Galactagogue, Insecticidal, Nervine, Sedative, And Tonic.

Principal Constituents– Citral (65-85%), Myrcene (12-25%), Dipentene, Methylheptenone, Linalool, Geraniol, Nerol, Citronellol, Farnesol, Among Others.

How To Use– Diffuse, Bath And Massage 

Caution– Lemongrass Is An Essential Oil And As Such Should Not Be Applied Directly, Undiluted On The Skin Or Ingested. It Should Not Be Taken By Pregnant Women.
