Kersey is a material based on a multilayer cotton or synthetic fabric treated with film-forming substances (rubber, polymer). It is used as a leather substitute. The Kersey surface has a pigskin-like texture. It goes mainly to the production of bootleg and other parts of shoes in the production of workers and military boots.

There are several types of kersey: 
Kersey 3K or "Universal" - an universal kersey for work shoes. 
Kersey L1 - wear-resistant kersey for military shoes.
