Fodder yeast is used in the production of animal feed, and also as an additive in feed rations of farm animals, birds and fur animals.
Qualitative characteristics of fodder yeast:
- the mass fraction of protein according to Barnstein (in terms of absolutely dry substance of the highest category) is at least 32 - 38%;
- ash no more than 10%;
- mass fraction of moisture, not more than 10%;
- the presence of live producer cells is not allowed;
- toxicity is not allowed;
- total bacterial contamination, thousand cells in 1 g of yeast, not more than 150;
- brown powder;
- environmentally friendly product.
