Menaja Cinnamon bark Oil
Botanical Name: Cinnamomum zeylanicum
Origin: This oil is native to Indonesia. It also originates in India as well as Sri Lanka.
Method of Extraction & Part of Plant Used: Cinnamon bark essential oil is extracted from the inner dried bark using steam distillation process. The papery bark is gathered after every 2 years.
Properties: This oil is red-brown in color. Its viscosity is medium to watery.
Aroma: It has spicy, musky and warm scent.
Integrants: The main components of this oil are eugenol acetate, eugenol, benzyl benzoate and cinnamic aldehyde.
Therapeutic Properties: Analgesic, Antiseptic, Antispasmodic, Antibiotic, Cardiac, Carminative, Aphrodisiac, Astringent, Stimulant, Stomachic, Emmenagogue, Insecticide, Tonic and Vermifuge
Blends Well With: Cinnamon oil mixes with various oils such as coriander
Precautions: This oil can cause irritation to the mucous membrane. It should be avoided by pregnant women.
Bacterial or Fungal Infections: Add 15-20 drops of cinnamon bark oil in warm water and soak feet for 15 minutes. Repeat this step for 4-5 days to attain utmost relief from warts, athlete’s foot, bunions.
